LIMITS OF TROUT, REDFISH AND FLOUNDER COMING TO THE DOCK EVERYDAY
The fall Flounder run is officially on. Last week’s cold front triggered it and the flatties are moving. As always they are a little on the small side but will get bigger the next couple of weeks. There are several flounder holes along the channel but the best spot has been across from the pilot station. Captain Brett Stansel says Speckled trout seem to be pretty much everywhere from Turner bay all the way to the south bank of big lake. He said there is lots of bird action in West Cove and it’s a lot of fun throwing soft plastics at em’. There are small trout and redfish just below the birds. Big over size redfish are still hanging at the Cameron jetties for the taking on mullet and crab fishing on the bottom. Wildlife and Fisheries biologists Mandy Wing doing fish surveys at our dock yesterday said their results showed the overall health of the fish population was very good.

Peel the potatoes; place in a sauce pan and cover with water. Cook until tender but firm; drain and cube. In a bowl, mix potatoes with onions, cheese and mayonnaise.
