LOTS OF WIND AND A FEW FISH ON THE SOUTH END OF THE LAKE
Fishing last week was very slow here on Lake Calcasieu. High afternoon winds have mudded up some of the water in big lake. Early morning fishermen have scored with Mirrow lures top water baits before the wind gets up on the west bank around commissary point, A couple of our guides caught some flounder up in Oyster Bayou bouncing chartreuse curly tail gulp on the bottom along with glow and chartreuse Hackberry Hustlers. There is no live bait available here but most soft plastics will work under a cork. Rain is forecast most of this week, but we will try get out in between showers if possible.
