Cold north blows the water south leaving very little water to get our boats out of the lifts, so our opening weekend was closed. When fishermen are able to get out on the lake catching has been good for both redfish and trout. WORLD CLASS FISHING IN COSTA RICA
We have wrapped up another summer here at the beautiful Los Sueños Resort and Marina. While we are mostly known for the billfish, right here off Costa Rica we’ve witnessed incredible fishing for wahoo, yellowfin, and rooster fish. 1-1/2 pound ham, cubed (or 1 pound smoked sausage 1/2 inch slices)
One 8 oz can tomato sauce
Two 15-1/4 oz cans Trappey’s Navy Beans with Bacon, un-drained
1 tsp of all-purpose seasoning
1 tsp salt
1 quart water
Directions:
Sauté onions, celery and bell pepper in margarine; until wilted. Add cubed ham and tomato sauce, simmer 15-20 minutes. Bring Trappey’s Navy Beans with bacon to a boil; cream beans (a blender works well). Combine beans with ham mixture. Add water and seasonings. Boil for one (1) hour. I sometimes add a few raw peeled shrimp to this recipe
