Our 2020 fishing season officially started today. Our season will run through mid-November until the opening day of duck season. We are expecting a good year on the water. Everything leading up to this year’s edition has been positive. No winter freezes or detrimental weather to harm our estuary. HOUSTON  FISHING   SHOW   ROUND-UP

 
The 44th annual Houston Fishing Show last Week at George R. Brown Convention Center was by all counts a very good edition. There seemed to be record attendance on 4 of the 5 days and they were entertained by many educational seminars on how to catch fish on all of the area lakes as well as saltwater fishing all up and down the whole gulf coast. Outfitters from all over the world were there so you could plan a trip just about anywhere you would like. Many thanks to Dave, Cindy and Don for producing probably the best pure fishing shown in the country.

You can run it on the same conventional propane you’re probably using in your backyard grill, so there’s no gasoline to haul with the engine.
With a safety-first approach, the outboard comes standard with propane auto shut-off valves on the engine and in the fuel-hose connector. The standard 6-foot (1.8-meter) fuel hose threads quickly and easily to the outboard and comes with a standard US POL connector on the tank side.
A 20-pound (5 gallon) tank of conventional propane provides approximately 6 hours of boating at full throttle.
A pressurized fuel system eliminates priming and makes this outboard easy to start. Auto decompression reduces the pull force when using the starter rope.

Cajun Caviar

Ingredients

• 2 cans blackeye peas, drained
• 1 med jalapeno pepper, minced
• 1/4 white onion, minced
• 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
• 1/3 cup Italian salad dressing
• 2 tbs ground cumin
• HR&G seasoning to taste
• 1/4 tsp cayenne red pepper

Instructions

Combine all ingredients. Serve chilled with your favorite chips or crackers
