Duck hunting this past week was a 5 at best. We have harvested over 1400 ducks and expect more as the weather conditions change this week. We have not been getting any new ducks, but this cold windy weather should bring some more birds to Southwest Louisiana. All indications point to better flights and our marsh is full of food for the taking.

WORLD CLASS FISHING IN COSTA RICA
We have wrapped up another summer here at the beautiful Los Sueños Resort and Marina. While we are mostly known for the billfish, right here off Costa Rica we’ve witnessed incredible fishing for wahoo, yellowfin, and rooster fish. 6 cleaned and plucked ducks – Teal if you have them
Hackberry Rod & gun Seasoning or Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning (call the lodge for seasoning)
How much ever hog lard you need for frying
Instructions
Season ducks inside and out with seasoning. Heat oil to 300 degrees and add ducks. Fry for 7 minutes per pound. Let cool and enjoy. Serve with new potatoes, green beans and some good French bread. WOO HOO
