THE BITE CONTINUES = Our guests continue to bring limits to the dock each day. A couple of days last week we dodged wind and rain, but it did not bother the fish, they were already wet. Just about everywhere you found clean water you found fish. The bigger fish are beginning to show in places where they are supposed to be. We have not seen this in years. Most all of our guys are fishing mostly down south in west cove with live shrimp under a cork. For the hardware chunkers, Mirrolures Mirrodine and top water lures have been the best. The best soft plastics have been Little Johns, hackberry hustlers, H & H beetle spin and wedge tail under a cork. This favorite recipe over here can be made with ground up Shrimp, Alligator, Crawfish or Crab meat. We make ours here at home with Marsha’s homemade left over Vienna Sausage. You can serve it with your favorite sauce as an appetizer or main course. Have some fun with it.
Ingredients
2 lb. boiled filet fish
4 med boiled potatoes
1 med onion
2 tsp parsley
1-1/2 tsp HR&G seasoning (call Pauline 888.762.3391 for seasoning
1/4 cup onion tops
1/4 cup bread crumbs
Instructions
Saute seasoning, onions, onion tops and fish for 5 minutes on medium fire. Add potatoes, bread crumbs to above mixture with fire off. Let cool. Roll mixture into small balls. Then roll in bread crumbs. Fry until golden brown.
My Thought – Every day might not be good, but there is something good in every day.
