TROUT AND REDFISH CONTINUE TO COVER THE CLEANING TABLES

Trout and Redfish catches dominated last weeks trips to the lake. Early morning gull action pointed the way to solid speckled trout and later trips paid off by drifting over oyster reefs for slot redfish. A little early morning rain yesterday (we needed a little) and washed the dust off our tomato plants. CAJUN BEAN SALAD

Ingredients

  • One 16 oz can pork and beans in tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 med. green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. chopped pimento
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. ground red pepper

Instructions

In medium bowl, combine all ingredients; toss gently to coat. Cover; refrigerate until serving time, at least 2 hours.
