CAJUN BBQ SHRIMP

Ingredients: 

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined 
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning 
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil 
  • 1 tablespoon butter 
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth 
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional for extra spice) 
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 

Instructions: 

Season the Shrimp: 

  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning to coat evenly. Set aside. 

Cook the Shrimp: 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 
  2. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and are just cooked through. Remove the shrimp and set aside. 

Make the Sauce: 

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. 
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. 
  3. Add the chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (if using), and lemon juice to the skillet. Stir to combine. 
  4. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly. 

Finish the Dish: 

  1. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat the shrimp through. 
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 

Serve: 

  1. Garnish the shrimp with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately with a side of rice, crusty bread, or over pasta.
